Founded by Michelle Varinata, Soeng Signature is named after her late maternal grandmother, Ari Sutarti (a.k.a. Mak Ari Soeng), a seamstress whose obsession for fashion influenced her to create her own clothing.

During her childhood, Michelle grew up reading fashion magazines and runway catalogues with her grandmother. Thanks to Mak Ari, it was no secret that Michelle was voted Best Dressed in high school. One day, Michelle encountered a bazaar sale held by her mother and her friends, where an array of vintage designer apparel was sold inside a hotel. It was the gateway to her vintage obsession, where it continued during her university years spent in Los Angeles and NYC. Upon moving back to Singapore, Michelle missed the one thing that she loves the most: vintage shopping. 

Initially a passion project, it became a full time career for Michelle after her mother encouraged her to start reselling clothes in 2020. From locally sourced designer bags to deadstock denim from Australia, Soeng Signature is curated to build your dream closet brick by brick.
